Swiss Re has introduced the appointment of Ali Shahkarami (pictured above) as international head of P&C options. He’ll report back to Russell Higginbotham, CEO of Reinsurance Options.

In his new function, Shahkarami will lead a workforce of insurance coverage and knowledge consultants primarily based in Munich. Their mission might be to offer property, specialty, and casualty options to purchasers of Swiss Re’s newly launched Reinsurance Options division.

Shahkarami joins Swiss Re from Allianz World Company & Specialty (AGCS), the place he served as chief knowledge officer. Throughout his tenure at AGCS, he held numerous management positions in Munich and California, specializing in disaster threat modeling, analysis, and revolutionary know-how options for underwriting processes.

Previous to his time at AGCS, Ali labored as a lead disaster threat modeler at RMS, a software program and know-how firm specializing in disaster dangers.
