Hordnek. Prologue

0

From myself: I have long been a big fan of the fantasy genre. I decided to try myself again as a writer. I will rarely write because of my employment, but the prologue of a series of stories on which I started work began on the seed. I hope you like it.
And yes, I haven’t been to SG for a long time 🙂

Khordnek was not at all like other trolls. It could rather be mistaken for a large goblin than for troll, because of its small stature. If usually trolls a couple of goals are higher than people, he was half as much as a person. The only thing that issued a troll in it was a hand -suspended hand on his chest. Now he was rushing through the forest in search of a cave, because the dawn was no longer around the corner. Khordnek has long been accustomed to this life. You, I think, will be interested to know how he has come to this.

Let’s start with his birth. Trolls are not like other creatures at least as they are born. They appear from stones near magical sources. When the troll dies, his soul goes into the ground and is transferred to the nearest source, and there it instills in a stone, which turns into a huge thin, sulfur creation. What happened this time is incomprehensible. Even the wisest trolls from the dusty mountain tribe disagree, but one thing can be said for sure: for some reason this creation did not become huge. Before that, the smallest troll was tall from the tallest person whom they met.

It is clear that many trolls could not stand such a shame on all their race and constantly called the chordnek “inexpensive”, “semi -rose”, “generator”. Trolls are proud and chordnek was no exception. Therefore, he learned to fight with those who exceeded him in height and strength. He honed his agility, constantly climbed into the deepest caves, where he often disappeared for several days, and then returned as if nothing had happened.

I’ll tell you a little about the fights of the trolls. Their skin is very thick, and very few types of weapons can break through it, and those that break through are unlikely to inflict deep wounds. But, let’s say that you managed to break through their skin and leave the wound. Then you will begin to notice how this wound disappears before our eyes. Troll fabrics are very quickly restored, so these are one of the most persistent and hardy fighters. If some troll starts a fight, be sure: it can last many hours, and sometimes even a few days. For this reason, people often find statues that were once trolls who forgot in the heat of fights about the sun, but more on that later.

Khordnek was imbued with https://stakezone-top.co.uk/games/ the study of caves, he always wanted to see more. When he studied all the caves, he began to come to mind unthinkable: to leave the caves forever. Trolls often got out of the caves at night, but only a few decided to leave it forever. Someone was driven out by the tribe, and someone, like the chordnek, left of his own free will.

Khordnek left his tribe with sunset. The first nights outside were very problematic. I had to learn how to get food yourself and find some kind of refuge. The dens were perfect for this, especially since the bears almost always did not notice the stranger in their house. And if noticed, then the chordnek defeated them. Gradually, the chordnek learned to survive in the forest, use his growth as an advantage, hide in the shade and move silently. Then he decided on an adventure that almost cost his life: to get into the city.

In the coming days, the inhabitants of the small river town began to notice something strange: the butcher was gone at the butcher, one of the guard dogs hid in their booth, things from houses began to disappear, for example, clothes or tools. At first, they decided that a thief appeared in their town, and this is one of the boys, since in the night they often saw a small figure running around the streets, but they could not find missing things from them.

One citizen suggested that they could deal with the goblin, given some deformations of the stranger: he was thin, with elongated ears and a long nose. Then the inhabitants hired a hunter.

The hunters were called not only people who mined the game, but also those who destroy monsters. They are professionals in their field, their services are very expensive, but the results are always impeccable. Residents had to quit the whole town to hire one of them. Khordnek will never forget his meeting with a hunter. It was she who left him the most unusual scar that can be seen at the trolls.

The hunter arrived in the evening, as he was told that the creature acts at night. With the sunset, he set about observation. At first he did not see anything unusual. Time was reaching, but nothing happened. Only two dogs did not share the bone, and the owners began to separate them. “Why did the dogs not learn the creature?"The hunter thought. In the end, he decided that the locals simply thought of something, but suddenly he noticed a small figure that crossed the street. From the first observations it was clear that this was not a person. Some features stood out in the observed: he was thin, low, had elongated ears and a long nose. “Typical goblin,” the hunter thought, until the figure made a small mistake and appeared in the light of the lantern. Then two more features of the stranger stood out: he had the lower fangs and he had gray skin. The hunter could not believe his eyes: it was a troll, albeit unusually small for his race. The observed was dressed in the clothes stolen from the townspeople. While observing the troll, he pulled a barrel of beer, stole a chicken from the chicken coop, previously folded her neck, and pulled a cutting knife at the butcher.

The troll acted very agile. Residents, and the hunter, can be said, was lucky that they even noticed him. “The point is most likely a lack of experience with the troll than in luck,” the hunter concluded. It should be noted that now he was not surprised that the dogs did not smell an uninvited guest, because the trolls do not smell because of their stone origin. The hunter continued to follow the troll until he went into his lair, which turned out to be the booth of a patrol dog. Apparently, the troll killed a dog and settled in a booth, where he waited for a day.

It was decided to immediately get rid of the uninvited guest. The hunter waited in the morning and called representatives of the town of the town to show them the cause of the night riots. He climbed into a dog booth with a torch and saw a troll sleeping on spruce branches. It was clear that it was necessary to act quickly. No matter how small the troll is, it was impossible to underestimate him. The hunter grabbed his hand and dragged him out. As soon as the rays of the sun touched the troll’s hands, how she began to stomake. There was a terrifying cry: the troll woke up from incredible pain. He fiercely moved deep into the booth, dragging the hunter there, after which he kicked him with all his strength that he flew away a couple of meters and lost consciousness.

Khordnek crawled down on his traffic jam. His hand was sick as if he dipped her in a lava. She froze in a stone fist. The troll decided to immediately dig a digging when he got into the city. He killed a guard dog and began to dig. Then he tried not to take risks and stole something a little. Soon Khordnek gathered to a small cave. So he prepared his departure path. When he returned to the booth, he covered it with fir branches. The troll folded them so that they could withstand it, and fell asleep on them. So he could immediately go into his move and disappear from the city. The course was very narrow, so people could not follow him. And to find a cave, they would need another day or two. Chordnek would be very far away.

With the onset of night, the troll got out of his cave and ran to the south. From a stolen shirt, he made a bandage for himself and hung his hand on it. He thought about his mistakes that he made in the city and which almost cost his life. So his night went to sunrise. Now he has nothing left to look for a cave. Fortunately, he was not far from some mountain. After a while, he found a cave in it. And just in time: as soon as he went into her, the sun appeared. Now, finding himself in his own darkness, he felt calm.

The stone he lay down seemed to him so native, so warm. Although … he was warm. Hordnek felt a stream of hot air, which came from one of the holes in this cave. The troll defeated curiosity. He could be in one of the fiery mountains, about which he heard from the elders. Soon there was a rumble that only fueled his curiosity. Then, Khordnek began to look for the way inside the mountain. The hole from which the hot flow of air was too small to climb. Nearby, the troll saw a large stone on the rock. He tried to raise him, but could not. Khordnek left him, swearing loudly in his language. Suddenly the rock moved, and the troll fell off her. He turned around and saw that there was no big stone. Another appeared in his place: amber-bent with a black stripe in the middle. Troll covered horror. The powerful figure began to rise. Hordnek could not believe his eyes. He heard a lot about these creatures, but did not think that he would meet at least one of them. He never thought he would meet … dragon.
